New publication on 3D-printed clonazepam tablets.

Researchers at Uppsala University including Extem Pharma founders have published a new study on the development of 3D-printed clonazepam tablets. Clonazepam is a compound where flexible dosing is important, particularly for children.

The work shows that solid 3D-printed tablets could be produced even with high lipid content, included to improve drug loading and delivery of this poorly water-soluble compound. The tablets also complied with relevant pharmacopoeial quality attributes.

For Extem Pharma, this type of research forms an important foundation for future work with flexible and patient-adapted pharmaceutical manufacturing.
